Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Choice Peanut Butter Chews
Ingredients & Directions
5 c Kellogg’s Rice Krispies
3/4 c Corn syrup
3/4 c Granulated sugar
3/4 c Peanut butter
Optional Chocolate Topping
1 1/2 c Chocolate Chips
2 tablespoons shortening
Pour cereal into a large bowl. In a saucepan, combine corn syrup and sugar. Stirring frequently, bring to boil over medium heat; boil 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter until smooth. Pour over cereal; stir to coat well. Press mixture firmly and evenly into a greased 9″ pan. Cool completely. Invert onto a cutting board, cut into bars.
For Chocolate:
Melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips using a microwave or a double boiler. Stir frequently. When melted, pour over the cereal mixture. Spread evenly with a spatula.
Cool before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
