My See's Fudge

 

3 packs Chocolate chips 

2 c Walnuts; chopped or nuts of choice (optional)

8 oz  Marshmallow cream 

4 1/2 c White sugar

1/2 lb Butter or margarine

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 can Evaporated milk


Line a 9x13 baking dish with parchment paper. In a large bowl cream together the 8 oz. jar marshmallow cream and 1/2 lb. melted margarine. Once combined add the chocolate chips. After the chocolate has melted, add the 2 cups of nuts and 2 teaspoons of vanilla, mix well and set aside.  


Mix 4 1/2 cups sugar with one can of evaporated milk then bring to a rolling boil. Once boiling, stir continuously for 4 to 6 minutes. Remove from heat and pour into the bowl containing the first mixture. Stir quickly until well combined.


Then pour into the prepared pan and allow to cool at room temperature for about an hour and then refrigerate until set. Cut into squares. 


This recipe makes about 5 lbs of fudge.
