1 cup Flour, sifted
½ teaspoon Baking soda
½ cup Butter at room temp
¾ cup Brown sugar
1 large Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla
⅔ cups Coarsely chopped pecans
⅔ cups Semi sweet chips
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Have cookie sheets ready. Sift flour and baking soda together. In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla with an electric mixer until well blended. With the mixer on low speed, gradually add flour mixture and combine just until blended. Stir in coarsely chopped nuts and chips. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls 2″ apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 11-13 minutes until edges are lightly browned and tops will feel soft. Cool cookies on the cookie sheet for 2-3 minutes before removing to the wire rack to cool completely.
